I keep harping on the importance of finding a good mechanic you can trust. It's not easy and I have never found one at a dealership. (sorry Justin, but I haven't) If you're still under warranty, try to find a manufacturer certified shop that is not a dealership.
I consider myself very fortunate to have found trustworthy mechanics for both my cars and my Harley here in Rabid City. I have not yet found one for the Savage (my HD guy doesn't work on Japanease bikes)
